Rumors are abound that Samuel Emmah, the current driver of the #27 U.S. Navy car in the AARO Amp Energy Racing Series, may be looking to depart from his seat at Greg Sauer Racing for the 2011 season.

This move, should it be true, would come across as somewhat questionable. Sauer's position with the team is very secure, as is his sponsorship. Emmah drove a self-owned, Navy-sponsored car for two years (#25 in 2009 and #27 in 2010) before the team was absorbed into Sauer's outfit.

Word is that should Emmah leave, racing upstart Daniel Leckliter, who was originally scheduled for a drive in the Aflac Yung Guns this year, may take the seat, as his family has ties to the military.

If Dan Clezl is moved to AERS, Clezl will have a replacement driver for the #62 AYG ride. Pennsylvanian racer Chris Winter will take over. Like Clezl, Winter,19, has ties to the military, his Mother was a Major in the Marine Corps until she died in Iraq back in 2004.
