2018 AERS Race 20 - Livonia (Amp Energy Finale 200)
Sun Sep 30, 2018 7:47 pm by Jesse Pizzajarvi
Spoiler:
Top: Glossum, Deefer, Cohon
Flop: Jesse, Lester
Casey Lester: Very disappointing. We had a great Dunkin' Donuts Fusion today. Just a shame for all the guys. I wanted to give them a great showing to close the year out, but the 32 had other plans. Dunno what that was about; I'm sure he's a great young guy. I'm just more gutted than anything. I wanted to get out of the way where I could and it wasn't always the easiest thing to do. Gotta work hard to get myself in title form for next season - I'm looking forward to it.
Beau Phillips: Bah, the day went down the drain 30 laps in. We unloaded pretty well, I thought. Didn't end the way we wanted clearly. I'm glad Jalen [Scransen] did good today 'cuz I know how much it meant to him to go out this way in case he isn't coming back.
Barry Juveno: F***in' Richson tryna hurt people out there. Dat 40 car gotta control hisself too. Ain't got any energy to fight nobody right now. Crew gave me a good car an' I get taken out …
Ritcher Goes Back to Back at Road America; Jates, Ringer Argue Post Race
Tommy Ritcher once again showed his road course prowess, or rather his Road America prowess, today in Elkhart Lake. Ritcher look the lead late and survived a strategy scare to take home his second win of 2018. Ritcher now climbs up to 5th in the standings with 2 races to go, solidifying himself in the championship hunt.
“To come here and perform like we have is super encouraging”, said the always jubilant Ritcher. “I’m super proud of my team, my team is he greatest. There’s nothing better than winning with your family and these guys are my family! Love every one of them. We know we will give it our all these next two races and I’m hoping luck is on our side but we’ve got a huge challenge ahead of us. We will be ready and as fast as we were today I’ll tell ya that much!”
