Livonia Results
Standings Thru Race 1

Top: Jason Carter
Flop: Alex Underwood, Matt Myers, Leader's pit strategies

Unfortunately, my internet prevented me from streaming this. However, it was a solid race, with 53 lead changes. A couple of guys blew their engines at the beginning, and there were a few wrecks. But in the end, Jack Collins and Valene Click, running 1-2 with 2 laps left, ran out of gas along with several others, and relinquished the lead to Jason Carter. A feel good story had Carter emerge victorious.

"It feels real good to be able to race again and be able to somehow make my way here in victory lane. It is absolutely surreal."

Carter and his #77 Carson Racing Toyota led the most laps after starting in 32nd.

Alex Underwood, meanwhile, is drawing criticism for the way he drove, along with the 12 of Matt Myers for holding up lap traffic.

"We got into a few guys and to be honest I'm not that concerned because they were doing the same all race long to everyone. I happened to do it twice. So, I don't really care. It's Livonia, we all drove like idiots."

Yuill, Miller both frustrated with Chautier’s Hart

It was looking like a normal JN Motorsports day at Livonia, run in the back, hope for shenanigans at the front, and take a solid finish. JN has never been able to really do much at their home track in any series. For ANS drivers, top prospects Mike Yuill and Damien Miller looked decent early in the going, biding their time until Tyler Hart in his #30 YouTube Chevy, turned Yuill’s #9 Giant Tiger Dodge into his teammate, Miller’s Mountain Dew Dodge. The two made contact and spun, collecting Ritcher driver PJ Boucher in the mess at the very end.

“I’m not really sure what Hart was doing,” said Yuill, “He turned someone else the next caution I think, too. It’s frustrating, we run well all weekend, work hard for what we deserve and someone can just take not only us but Damien out as well, it’s just stupid.”

Miller echoed his teammate’s sentiment, “Mike is okay right? PJ hit him hard. We slid into the pits and were able to continue but jeez oh petes that was dumb.”

Meanwhile, JN Development mainstay Jack Collins had quite the run, working his way to the top spot in a lengthy green flag run towards the later stages of the race, leading 19 of the race’s final 25 laps, only to run out of fuel coming to the white flag.

“I am very deflated,” said a teary-eyed Collins, “I don’t blame anyone for this but give me a go at it again and I think we try to conserve a bit. We took the lead and I kind of tried to drive the wheels off it to extend that lead and while it worked, it wasn’t until 15 to go that I looked down and remembered when we’d last pit. By that point, you just hope for the best, and it didn’t go our way today.”
