Entry List (one-offs in bold):

IT'S STILL TIBURON TO ME DAMNIT ;____;

Orlando International Speedway is the new name for this mammoth 3.0-mile, 40-degree-banked track as Tiburon stepped down as track sponsor after 2013. A whopping 70 CARS are on the entry list this weekend, so the qualifier will be packed to the brim with cars. Several part-time entries are here this weekend to try and grab one of the 17 spots in the main event. This is shaping up to be another exciting weekend in Florida, the first of three consecutive events in this state.

EDIT: Entries without car/ratings removed.

The top 8 transfer from the first race while the top 9 from the second will advance.

Q-Race 1:

Mario Romero got the pole, but Matt Cross seemed to be the star of the race. He was up front throughout, even leading during the yellow flag. This was caused by Corin Brigham getting too close to Randall Lyon's back bumper and turning him down into Jared MacDonald, carrying the three of them and Chase Smith into the wall. Lyon was the only one not to retire as a result and he was affected by the damage he sustained. He has one PTRL win at Talladega in 2013 for Webler Motorsports to his name, but his chances were wiped out.

Lapped traffic aka Ted Cordon was very gracious in getting the lead lap cars past him cleanly, so kudos to a Bolghomme driver knowing what they're doing. Brad Windsor continues to build his SS prowess by taking out the victory. Darren Hansen, cousin to Pat Demps who is Windsor's teammate, came home 6th and will make his debut for Team 4 and Damon Miller makes a superspeedway race for the Dormann Enterprises bunch who have been focusing on their plate package all season. Olive Blue also musters her way through in the final spot.

Q-Race 2:

Not much of note happened other than Aleksandr Mouta nearly being a moving chicane; even E.Y. Kim did a better job of staying out of the way! Tatianna Robbins truly showed her hand, leading 16 of 25 laps and being able to tow the rest of the field across the line. Inspection held her car for quite a while after the race, but came to the conclusion that her car was indeed legal. Jay Pericles, Zachary Fitzwater, Dave Endicott, Andrew Darby and Leon Gapreon find their way back into the main event and Annie Thomas, one-off entry of USA Racing, will make her PTRL debut while her team owner watches from the sidelines unless he swaps her out for himself. Mean thing to do? Yes, but it's completely at his discretion. Rumors spread around the garage that Buick Radisson Racing Team were approached by Cliff Jensen and Axis Motorsports in selling their spot for the 44 team. No word on a final decision on that matter, so stay tuned for that.

Voyles to not swap with Thomas after DNQ at Orlando
USA Racing team owner Daniel Voyles has decided not to swap with his teammate Annie Thomas after Thomas made the race whereas Voyles did not. "Annie did a great job getting her car in the show and she deserve to keep her spot on the grid as she needs some experience in this series" He said. "At the end of the day however 1 car made it and 1 didn't so I can't complain about it." As for Thomas she's delighted to make her debut in Orlando after working hard to make the field and her hard work with the 95 team pay off. "I'm blessed to debut this 95 car here in Orlando" Thomas said after the race. "The main event should be fun and hopefully we will bring the car home in one piece."

Thomas expected to be ready for Chicago
Annie Thomas had a rough debut in PTRL after getting involved in the first yellow of the race at Orlando. Thomas was taken to a local hospital where she was released the next morning after sustaining a sprain ankle in that crash. "I'm ok but it could have been so much worse" she said. "It's disappointing that we didn't finish the race but hopefully I will be ready for Chicago." As for USA Racing there will get ready to focus with Voyles on Ocala which is 2 races in 1 weekend in Florida.
