Entry List:

Onto the first quad-oval track of the year, the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Reed Church might have some trouble sleeping due to the flashbacks of the practice crash he had a few years ago here which resulted in an injury for him. This is a home track for several drivers including Church, his part-time teammate Josiah Justice, his former teammate Jack Spanaker, Earl Graham and Damon Miller. It's pretty much in D.J. Payne's backyard (from Concord)! Tim Hutchinson Jr. preserved a moderate points lead leaving Richmond, but will he be able to hang onto it? 62 on this week's entry list, believe it or not; 20 cars will miss the field.

PRE RACE NOTES: Aaron Zimmer is in the 25 Candlestick Racing entry this week with Culligan money backing him. Sebastian Dresner and the Austrian Buhner Racing team are running an old 2004 Taurus with a #12 on it instead of the black #8 they've been using. Jack Spanaker is in Candlestick's other entry, the 23, as it is his home track as I've mentioned before along with D.J. Payne in the Team 4 #84 Toyota. Justin Reid gets a run in the #55 for his team's home race, but didn't look very impressive in practice. Josiah Justice is piloting AGR's part-time #69 car this week and Bronson Bauer takes over the Mach 7 Motorsports' #70 from Kyle Callahan, bringing HughesNet sponsorship to that car this week. Long Island native  Nico Bassanelli makes his debut this week in Recaro's second entry and Cole Romine is back in a #52 that apparently drives like a dumptruck, but Bolghomme managed to get something under the hood right as it was faster in practice than in Romine's previous attempt. Finally, Team Michael and #74 of Jared Green are returning to PTRL once again and Brad Windsor will be attempting in Dunmore's third part-time entry.

Q-Race:

Brad Windsor looked poised to win around halfway, but despite taking the lead after pitstops, lapped cars *coughColeRominecough* pushed him back in the order to almost outside the Top 5. He was able to obtain most laps led, but it doesn't mean anything in a qualifying race. Dave Endicott was the beneficiary of the 97's misfortune and held the lead pretty much for the rest of the race and won. Winston Rivers, Ryan Napolitano and Brad Carter also got turns at the lead and settled back to transfer through.

Olive Blue fell off the lead lap and likely would have remained the first car a lap down in the first cutoff spot even IF the only yellow of the race hadn't come out on Lap 58 when Nolan Venables flat-out dumped the 44 of Cliff Jensen into the outside Turn 1 wall. It appeared the 44 may have had a mechanical issue that caused him to suddenly slow, but he was almost completely on the apron when the 34 punted him in the right rear and sent the 44 back up the track. Venables was called to the hauler for that questionable move, which compounds the controversy surrounding Richmond. Oh, and Aaron Zimmer blew up on the backstretch just after the yellow came out. That was cool.

While not as lethally slow. Cole Romine still caused headaches for everybody in that godawful 52 car. He seems to be a competent driver, so why drive in the racing line when you're 4.5 seconds off the pace with zero chance of making the field? The field was effectively set after the caution, but anything could have happened, I suppose. Ryan Napolitano doesn't get screwed by stupidity this time and gets into the main event. Pretty much anybody from 24th on back didn't have much of a shot at all. Mouta had a decent car, but it wasn't enough. Green and Dresner were also roadblocks. Justin Reid and Bronson Bauer made contact in the pits that stalled the 55 out for a few laps, not that the 55 was in a good position to make it either. Michael Blue punched a bit above his weight to take out 11th.

Haven't had much time, but I'll try to get it done when I can. Very Happy

I would prefer any new teams/drivers as part-timers since I already have a slight surplus of full-time entries. There is a thread containing the team chart and available numbers; be sure to check that out first. Also, ratings are a bit wonky I will admit, but I tried my best to explain them.
