Looking back on everything in this forum, while we may have grown up and moved on, I’m so damn proud to have had this place and this league. I built a ton of friendships (and enemies but that’s beside the point) and met some damn good and creative people. I’ll always be greatful for you guys and I really do miss the old days of zero responsibilities! I’m glad to have had a part in all of your lives and I see posts from time to time of some of you actually hanging out together and to have brought friendships like that together will always hold a place in my heart.

Believe it or not I still talk to a couple of you pretty regularly, although obviously not about racing, but it is telling that after so many years we’re still friends and keep in contact and have some fun here and there.

Sometime in the future I’d definitely like to meet up with people from this forum and hang out, don’t know when that could be but it’d be very cool. Smile

I don’t know, just logged in for the hell of it today and made me so proud. Hope everyone is doing well!

Edit: Oh, and you better bet your ass if I could rejuvenate this community and had time to run AARO I would, but for now and probably for good, I can’t see that ever happening.

I'm kinda proud of it too. I just hate that I caught onto this near the tail end of NR2003's popularity. Even the EFR leagues are having trouble staying active and popular because all the league runners are growing up and don't have the time to do it the same way as they did before. It's sad to see, but we all knew times like these would happen and got so caught up in the moments we shared that we didn't realize it was coming... but we're here now.

Without this place, I wouldn't be the same person I am today. Nate and I share similar music tastes and grew this rivalry of sorts between us in canon. While we had moments of genuine hostility and bumping of heads, it's gotten much more civil since then and I can call him one of my closest friends. He even got to be alongside me for perhaps the greatest night of my life. You're another one of my closest friends, Nick, as I would not be nearly as involved with the sport of hockey if not for you. It literally started out with sharing gamertags on Xbox Live and 15-year-old me couldn't believe I was actually talking to the members and owner of this league I watched so often online. Then we talked beyond racing and delved into hockey as we've played countless times online and I continue to root on your hopes of becoming a professional, which I still think is possible. One day I'll make it out to Michigan and turn the hell up. As for Webler, I get to say that we go to the same college and will be living together in about 7 months; six years ago we barely knew each other. I feel like I lean on him a lot socially, but I'll eventually find my own footing I think. He's changed my life more than he's even aware of. To all of you and the rest of the users here, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I've had some rough patches and run-ins with the people of this community in the past that I'm not proud of, but it's led to some very fruitful relationships that I still maintain today. I'm thankful for all of it. It's taught me lessons that I've used to help me in life every day. I miss AARO for all sorts of reasons including all of the comradery we shared along with the passion for racing that brought us all here in the first place.
