PostSubject: Landon Rody to leave AERS at Season's End?   Sat Jul 16, 2011 12:38 pm

Landon Rody Racing's Owner/Driver Landon Rody may vacate his #88 7-Eleven Chevrolet in 2012 to become a full time owner in the AARO Amp Energy Racing Series. Rody, who finished 14th in his first start of the season in the AAA 200 at Daytona, told reporters that he was "tired of having to run qualifiers to get in the races." Rody has been in the series since 2009, and has yet to record a win. His best finish was 2nd in the 2010 Talladega race. While this is not set in stone, it is a likely possibility that Rody will not be back in the car in 2012. "It's nothing against the AARO officials or anything, I'm just bored of the racing. I have never performed well in this series, maybe it's time to give my ride to someone else," announced Rody. The most likely candidate for the ride would be Matthew Mitchell. Mitchell is a development driver for LRR, but has seen no seat-time in any AARO series. He could be a dual series driver, competing in the AARO Aflac Yung Guns series as well.
