Sources have confirmed that the driver of the #18 Ask.com Cadillac has signed a one-year contract extension worth $6,500,000. The contract will go into effect for the 2015 season.

"We're thrilled to have Chad aboard for the next two years. He's a great kid with a very bright future and we're very excited to further develop him as he continues to grow into a star driver", said team owner Tim Ovota.

BREAKING: Mario Lancer Signs 2-year Deal with Sauer Enterprises

Mario Lancer has signed a 2-year contract worth $17,000,000 today with Sauer Enterprises. Mario Lancer last raced back in 2009. He has finished no higher than 15th in points through 8 seasons.

"Mario will provide as an excellent source of information for not only myself, but for all in the garage. Mario has loads of experience and will no doubt be a force to reckon with come raceday", said team owner and driver Greg Sauer.

Ultsch Enterprises "Working" on Contract Extension with Ted Hendricks

Ted Hendricks' 5-year deal ends after the conclusion of the 2014 AARO AERS season. Ted Hendricks has performed pretty well in his tenure at the team and is apparently being rewarded with a new contract extension, per the team's FaceSpace account:

"Working on Hendricks deal, will be here to stay long-term #star."

Hendricks currently is making $6.5 million a year, a pretty steep price that will most likely be topped, which could lead to contract renewal issues with sophomore driver Jared Kash, who will most likely want $5.5M per year after 2014, which the team may not be able to fund. Sources are saying Hendricks' deal could be worth more than $7.25M per year. So with that, a Kash deal worth $4.5 per would probably be the max the team would offer, as anything north of that could be harmful to the team's already low budget.

Kington to Wares?

Former AERS driver Joey Kington is reportedly making a return to the series, which he last raced in 2010, start and parking for an underfunded 07 team. Brandon Wares, Inc. has been searching for a long time for drivers, and with the free agent list getting thinner, they feel like they need to act quick, and sources are reporting they've contacted Joey Kington, who will be coming into their office to sign a 1-year, $1.5M contract tommorow.

Kington hasn't done too well in the AERS since getting replaced by Sebastian Morris in the 11 car in 2009. He doesn't have a finish better than 36th since that, and before that, had just 3 top-10's.

Baltano to Wares?

Rumors have surfaced that 2011 truck champion Bethany Baltano is headed to Brandon Wares Incorporated. The car is rumored to be #77, however nothing has been confirmed.

Baltano won the NCSTT championship in her rookie season in the #83 truck for Anderson Racing.

Hendricks Inked to 4-year Extension

Ted Hendricks is set to be making $7.5 million dollars for the next 4 seasons. Hendricks signed a 4 year extension with Brandon Ultsch Enterprises this morning that will go into effect for the 2015 season.

"I'm thrilled to be here long term and it's great knowing they'll offer the type of money I deserve. Now, I was being a bit generous but I could have easily got 8 mil. I guess they're just lucky they've got a guy who's willing to be generous. But I'm really excited and nothing but good has come out from this team."

Legge Motorsports -- Cadillac CTS
3 - Emma Trout -- Samuel Adams Beer/2013
1 year (2013), $500,000 Deal -- $500,000/yr., Signed before 2014 season

Woods out, Trout in

With the AARO Lock out possibly coming to an end, LMS has been forced to make a few changes to its lineup. Megan Woods will not be moving up to the cup series with LMS any longer. After a contract dispute with team owner Will Legge, Woods has decided to part ways with the organization. Comments on the matter are not expected until tomorrow from both party's. Woods will be running her own team in AYG this year. To replace Woods' seat in the #3, Will Legge has brought in his younger cousin, Emma Trout. Trout will be behind the wheel of the Sam Adams Cadillac full time, rather than the part time schedule Woods was going to run. More to come on this development later.

Make sure to change Averell's sponsor to AT&T and Dawson's sponsor to Tabasco. I think all of my drivers are set.

Johnson can't compete in the AERS without previous AARO experience. Smile

I don't think he does, unfortunately.

Wendy Fisher, or Brandon Corna would be two you have that have experience.

Austin Kingston has been released from Carson Racing. Reports have attitude problems listed as the main reason. This adds even more problems to Carson Racing, who can't seem to go a season without having some driver issues.

Darcy Lusk is said to be the leading candidate for the ride now, but we'll have to wait and see what happens.
