PostSubject: AAA cuts ties with Genger, possible JN sponsor news?   Sun Jul 25, 2010 2:19 am

MCKINLEY -- AERS PRESS

AAA has announced they will stop sponsoring Jeff Genger for 3 races after McKinley, they are not happy with his performance.

"I don't think they understand." said Genger. "It's hard to get a good finish here let alone make the race. I'm going back to AYG next year so I don't think this really affects me right now." "I'm happy they will return, though."

More JN news? Ugh.

This is pretty interesting though. JN Motorsports and AMP Energy have been discussing sponsorship lately behind closed doors. Just this weekend was it leaked out.

AMP Energy is not happy with my run this year so far. The expectation AMP gives the 39 team is to maintain a position to be locked in each event, and what has that team done? Not that, for sure. AMP Energy signed with JN Motorsports in 2008 and has a contract with the 39 team that expires in 2012.

"AMP has always been a great sponsor for us, and will always be." said him, "I really hope our team can meet expectations, but hoping doesn't solve anything, we need to step it up."
