PostSubject: Lake Glossum Succumbs To Cancer   Sat Jul 04, 2009 10:45 pm

Yesterday afternoon, the father of long time AERS driver Shawn Glossum, passed away with Cancer. Lake Glossum, 74, was battling cancer for 3 years. He had two AERS starts, finished 34th, and 40th, both in the Daytona 250.

Shawn Glossum said this morning, "(Cries) He inspired me so much (cry, sniff), (long pause) he is why im here. I hate to see him go like that (Sniff, swallow, wipes tears). I wouldnt be in AERS if not for him, (sniff) were gonna go all out on Sunday, gonna try to win one for ma folks'. It has to come at the worst time for me, i cant fly out to Santa Fe to see him before the race. Im gonna try to get one for 'em."

Lake was in AERS for 5 races, only made 2. He will be remembered for a long time in the AERL.

RIP Lake Glossum 1935-2009

NOTE: Please remember this is fictional, no one really did die, were trying to make it as real as possible (ARAP).
