I have an idea for the Mosport event. How about a double header, a half distance race on the RC and a half distance on the oval?

Like, one for all star and one non? Or some other way? I like the idea, I just am confused.

"No word on whether the AERS cars will return to the complex's road course or race on the short oval instead"

Like instead of deciding between the oval and Road Course, use both. Like this (Just an example):

Saturday night
50% lapper on the oval

Sunday afternoon
50% lapper on the RC.

so the total distance of both races adds up to 1 full length race.

You could score them normally as 2 races in points terms, or half points for each, or even some averaging of points.

I like the idea, but there's one problem. The Mosport oval only holds 25 cars, IIRC. Maybe we could have the drivers 1-25 in points in the oval race and drivers 26-58 in the road-course event?

Why not do that for Daytona. I believe that holds 42 cars. The idea is really good.

Calder Park (If given some INI tweaks) could work for that.

I think you should give Langhorne a race date. It just seems like a fitting track for the AARO.

If you possibly tweak the .ini for Hillside, it would be one heck of a race. The track without tweaking the .ini is just fine and provides a good race itself, tweaking it would make it better Very Happy

Hillside is way too dangerous, in my opinion. If you had two cars start pushing up off a corner at the speed that track provides, you'd have a recipe for disaster, hands down. As a player, it's almost impossible to drive because of the such high banks combined with the speed provided. I don't think it'd be very pretty to see the AERS go to Hillside, in my opinion. We might as well have a boycott like the one at Talladega in '69, if the AERS was to set a race date there.

I made banking changes, but the core is still Hillside.

Cape Cod International Raceway from SRD. There is a small bug with the start, but it should be okay.

I race on it all the times with no issues. And if Nick had a problem running it, thats why I said to edit the .ini Very Happy But I see where you're coming from, the track has a massive amount of speed for that much banking, but then again editing the AI in the .ini could help that, but he already changed the banking so its no big deal. And Nick, I couldn't remember that Hillside was the new Livonia, whenever I heard the name Livonia Raceway I thought of our fail at re-making Richmond.. Razz

I think you should use a real life track for the unknown track because there are already enough fictional tracks on the calendar.

So look what I mysteriously found on the Nora forum

Jonathan Myers stated that if a track has a road course on the property or nearby the property that the Armor All Series will run half the race on the road course, and then half the race on the oval. This should spice things up quite a bit, with the 6 speed transmissions going to be used all over the country.

Facepalm.

I said one nice thing to him on YouTube, and I find out he's back taking ideas from us. Ugh.

Doubt it. But if I can't seem to find a real track that fits (which is what I'm aiming for), I will get back to Lowwell.

I think you should bring Lowell back. It's the only track I have a win at. xD

You shush, Tyson! I'll probably never have had a win in this series while I'm around! Razz

Ugh. Just watch as Nick intentionally bumps my ratings up so when I have won a race, he'll prove me wrong, and feel good about himself in return. Very Happy
